Some photos I took over the weekend during the Stockton Beach Trip Weekend.
We have 13 Buggies and 3 Baja over the weekend. Half came from Queensland with the furtherest, Blue Baja coming from Mackay.

engine specs looks like its injected what sort of system it is running throttle bodies or carb
ok all talk a side mick is a nice bloke and has done heaps to his buggy
it's a 1776 injected with with throttle body but i think it's still has the dizzy for spark (not sure)
it's build for the dunes but he takes to the drags as well and beats the ej 20 turbo buggy every time
this is my fav pic of me and mick at the drags
practise run
im all over him ... for the first 10 m lol
while he's spinning the wheels at the line and im look for when he is going to pass me and on the way pass he gives me 2 X ![]()
here is a pic of mick doing some drag racing on the streets
LOL!!....I recognise him behind those sun glasses !!

it had 58hp before, not sure what the EFI turbo has now ????
i think about 100 hp more
Does it really beat ej20 turbos?
What sort of cost for that setup?
I know at the drags Micks SWB buggy turbo VW motor has beaten a WRX powered LWB buggy. Not sure if this would be to do with greater HP or to do with
significant less weight. Mick is probably running about 250 - 300kg's lighter than the LWB buggy.
Not sure how much it has cost Mick....he might not know either
.
I'm not involved in drags and havn't been since I was a young(er) fella and then not legal drags, ah, the island on Friday and Saturday night, such
memories, but back then it wasn't so much about the power but how effectively you got it to the ground, I beat more than one "hot" six cylinder in
my bog standard (except for a full ballance) Peugeot 404 simply because it didn't smoke em, mind you Micks buggy is real real nice.

Mick had a Dyno sheet with him at the Raliegh Sprints at Valla that showed 150hp. And in the dunes you can see him drifting sideways UP the big dune faces with rooster tails no problems at all
What hp figures do ej20 turbo motors in buggies put out?

What the shit happened to the tierod???
It got a bit bent when he hit a sharp dune to hard, and then just got worse from there until he was a snow plough and had to fix it !!

Yeah he mentioned that....makes you wonder doesn't it :-).
Micks buggy is not that good though..he can't even make it up a little sand dune

Glad you like the Pics guys.
Yes it was a great turnout. Hopefully the Qld boys get to stay and play a bit longer next time.
I reckon we should invite then down for a week next time and put on some dune events. Like the Stocko Olympics. A bit of Motorkhana, 1/16 mi drags,
leap frog and the stockemberg top time.
Should be a lot of fun. Will plan it for next year when it cools a little. Time it around Valla.
Cheers for the pos comments.
Yes Mick Buggy does get a lot of attention. He estimates about 12-15k on his motor with all the spares, injection, plumbing etc.
