3rd party insurance green slips in NSW - insured - not insured -
68AutoBug - December 2nd, 2011 at 01:23 AM

Just got quotes from 3rd party insurance in nsw for MY 68 Beetle located in 2337 postcode...

car insured normally car not insured

AAMI $338 TO $529
ALLIANZ $529 TO $529
CIC ALLIANCE $ 525 TO $525
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GIO $322.20 ** TO $526 **QUOTE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NRMA $367-45 TO $532
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QBE $348 TO $348? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

zurich $436 to $436

so, it does pay to have Your car comprehensively insured with 60% non claim bonus... otherwise the green slip price increases to the point where it is about the same [or more] if You had Your car insured... so You pay it or You still pay it.... lol

LEE

SO IT REALLY PAYS TO HAVE THE CAR INSURED FULLY ALL THE TIME TO KEEP UP YOUR 60% DEDUCTION...

iT SEEMS MY COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE WAS'NT PAID DURING THE YEAR,,, NOT 100% SURE...
[found I forgot to pay it??] GIO it is... now

I know that having a vehicle insured will get you a better rate with NRMA, QBE go on age of driver and if you have any demerit points against your drivers license.

I know this is starting to look like the 'Free Adds For Shannons' forum, but I get my green slips there now......heaps cheaper.

You also can't get CTP insurance with NRMA if you don't have a mobile phone.

yes

I just found out I forgot to insure My beetle again in april..
so, My record of years of paying insurance.. is ALL gone..

so, it starts to get expensive... although it would cost ME More
for a green slip if I didn't have My car insured..

so I have paid for insurance.. and then third party... lol

and it didn't matter that I actually had My beetle insured a few years ago by SHANNONS and NRMA CLASSIC VINTAGE at the SAME Time... lol

now that should have gotten Me a discount... lol

LEE

PS: still with NRMA classic vintage car insurance...

Years of age... plus how long You have Your licence
any Your Fault accidents etc demerit points etc...

all add to Your NRMA 3rd party and comprehensive insurance...

I compared products the other day as well as prices.

GIO had by far the better coverage than all other products.
