hey guys im gunna have a go at doing some welding (panels and rust repairs) ive seen a few cheapish welders at the local hardware ad theres a fair few options available for hire aswell. id like to use a gasless mig as it just seems the easiest route. what sort of specs should i be looking for??? the gasless ones seem to range from 90-120 max operating power would this suit panel work on my vw?? any advice or hints/tips would certainly be appreciated. thanks guys!!!

I'd go for MIG but stay away from flux core as it throws a lot of slag around.

buy a lincoln 180 about a grand and worth every penny , dont buy cheap shit ...you get what u pay for

i cant really justify spending that much on a welder i honestly wouldnt use it that much...think hire may be the way to go
