in the 80's, there was a company in california that made them. I might have an ad for it in one of my old hot vw's. I think wolfgang international is going to reproduce them. they had a prototype at the VW classic in June.

the splitty oval guys say You can drive in the rain with the windscreens open... You don't need wipers.. The wipers on the Splitties sit in a small ident under the windscreen. they would have to be placed there by the owner as the wipers couldn't go down that far normally, and if You accidently turned them on... well something would give....
How come We live in one of the hottest climates in the world, and We don't have all these things as standard.. everything should be pop out -
