they will make a mess of it!!!!!!! thry allways do

DubbyFan - December 28th, 2011 at 07:17 PM

Well they didn't cut her up at least, sort of lime green bottom, not for me, white topsides. To be honest they didn't go too crazy, could be taken back to original without too much drama.

Disappointed they didn't show any engine or suspension stuff,
just some nice wheels. At least it's a VW on telly and any VW on the box floats my boat!

wasnt a fan of the CHILL sign!!!!!

DubbyFan - December 28th, 2011 at 07:26 PM

Oh yeah forgot that, WT why would you do that, as
if you aren't way chilled rolling in a 58 split bus!

matberry - December 28th, 2011 at 07:36 PM

Hey, I got it on now

matberry - December 28th, 2011 at 07:36 PM

According to the demon bugs book, Jesse James is a dub fan and owNe, or has owned a few nice ones.

vwjon - December 28th, 2011 at 11:10 PM

that "chill" sign will restrict cooling to the motor UNCHILL!!

i hated the pop rivited ally strips over the rusty holes and a shit load of bondo, that won't last!

best quote from the X, "man this thing has more rust than the Titanic!" a true dubber right there!!

matberry - December 28th, 2011 at 11:49 PM

Yeah, bog up special :borg: Give it 2 years max before that gutter rust comes back 10 times worse !! My comments above were before the shot of the daylight streaming through the gutter rust. I shuddered as they folded the front bumper in half, but then they did seem to respect the age of it.

Was wondering about the alloy and steel, is it common to mix
those two in the panel beating world? Not a good mix surely!

matberry - December 29th, 2011 at 07:28 AM

Common.... sort of, a good mix...... definately not.

Repairs of that nature should have all rust repairs fully welded with steel, the better the job, the less anyone could ever tell it's been repaired....even under the paint.

did any one else notice it was a rare walk thru? yet they put a huge TV across the gap. the mind boggles!
