Hi All,
Just thought I'd let you know that it is the last day of my Holidays and I took the Bug out with my Son before I go back to work and he goes to
daycare.
Great morning driving around stopped a kiddy park for him and then took the PAC HWY for me from Brooklyn back.
I have added a picture (Still not sure how to add them to the message) not sure if you can make it out but his top has a beetle on it.
Hope you have had a good day aswell
Just thought I would add just had a spa and now getting dinner ready.
We took the kids to the VW mechanic, so they could look at all of the Beetles and Busses. We dropped our Beetle off for a service and a bit of loving, to play with all the other Beetles for a couple days.
hmmmm.......be careful with that last bit, next thing you know, the beetle "now is too small for expanding family" and on ebay ........just start talking splitwindow kombis to counter that
sound good tho, i took my 4 year old for a spin today as well! She loved the noise and sensation of a hot VW! stoked
Ahhh but we also have the 8 seater bus already. Plenty of room for up to 6 kids.
What did you do today?
Grrr... I went to work.
What's making it harder to take than usual is the nice box of Karmann Ghia bits that was delivered this morning, and is now just sitting at home
waiting for me....
My beetle still doesn't run so I took my mirage for a run out to see George at classic to get more parts.
pfffft havnt stopped ,not happy jan, concrete back on tday so all the jobs i havent been paid for for a month should catchup soon, good news! march is my slow time, looking forward to it no end!
went back to work
i spent the day with my chair bound mate and nearly finished his teardrop it humbles me watching him struggle
but never any complaint he needed to do some tinghis life was get up when the helpers arrive they use a small crane dress than sit around till it was
bed
time his health was droping he said to me mate whats the use of my life it was at that moment i asked would like to build a teardrop he said how i
said we will cross that bridge when we come to it we spent time on mondays only than only 5 hours because he tired easily so now it rego time next
week we hope
anyhow thats what i did today
replaced about 6 inches of sill in my sons ej holden ,tomorrow is fit the snorkle to my 4wd,then later in the week throw some paint over my other sons commondore, who needs to go to work for a holiday ...........ME
I've been working on my beach buggy
last week painted up a new roll cage for it n pulled the seats out n bathed em n drubbed the floor of the pan, treated it with acid n new paint n put
it back together
just got to put on the roll bar padding stuff n let the good times roll
Saw the colloseum.

running around in the oval all day to help mum fix her skyline omg what a pain in the backside it was
makes me realise how easy it is to work on my car compared to hers
then i went to see my best mate to wish him and his gf the best with a baby on the way
took the family to seaworld, and allthough there wasn't a single vw had a bloody awesome time!!!
i like it here i mite just stay! anyone want to employ a spray painter
steff...........
Great posts all 'round! well done Greedy, huge effort there! I care for my disabled daughter and do bug stuff in between so I respect you for giving
your freind a life.
I removed glass from my '69 shell to fit a new headliner, went well, try to do at least one thing on my bugs every day. Seems the vw scene is in good
hands with younger families, good stuff!
just started 3 weeks a/leave after a long year going down the south coast for a week or so with my 2 boys and strife and a few day cruises in between other than that chill and maybe some painting around the place
worked. made 9800L of beer. lifes good
Lol.... That's a killer home brew setup eh ?
I looked at three different site for vw's that I can't afford now that we just bought a new commodore.
I dreamed about working on my 62 Baja and then realised I don't have the time or parts.....
Great to see that so many of you are passing on the love of vw's to the next generation too, that how I got interested, from my old man
And ps top work greedy, I bet your mate is stoked with the progress !
yeah its a medium craft beer set up, not as big as the mega brewers but big enough to make it towards the top end of craft beer though.
probably do the same tomorrow.
thanks all but my mate who gets a pat he deserves it i watch him struggle and never complain
9800L of beer! wheres my invite? thats awesome, a mate has a commercial still and i cant get a drop cause of the ATO! pricks! ps ive had a few samples though.
C'mon Steve ,you are one of the best blokes i've met into VW's,you always help out if you can ,I remember when i first got into the dubs and was looking for a flywheel ,you offered me one for free and i didnt know you from Adam then. Now we are both in the same club ,and i have respect for you like an older brother and good friend,so dont be all coy about and take credit where credit is due
took some photos of the airbox I made over the weekend for the racecar, tried, without success to plumb in my boost gauge and ordered some parts for
my daughters mk4 engine rebuild....
oh yes had to work as well....

A few days late..... But I managed to get the Baja to Stockton. Coughing and spluttering due to the EFI not tuned properly yet, but we made it!
Have even got a photo, but can't seem to work out how to attach it in the post like the ones above...
