Well I have to give credit where credit is due. Received a letter from this supplier and have come to a commercial settlement. The person that packed
the order wrote me a letter apologizing for the delayed shipment and my wasted time.
My faith has been restored in Australian V W suppliers service and a big thumbs up to Mike for going above and beyond the call of duty. I will wear
the gift stickers with pride. Cheers Mike hope it all comes back to you x 2.
A Happy customer My2c

They will be dumb enough to ask why when they go broke.
haha and parts I bought on and around xmas day from Europe arrive in no time
Thats why I buy overseas most of the time. they are simply better at looking after their buyers.
Here I am back at work on the 3rd and seems the whole of melbourse just started coming back today. yesterday was the 9th and still not many people
were around
I would hate to live in Qld for this reason

At the end of October i called in to Just Kampers in Sydney to get a few parts , I found out that i was billed for parts that i did not order , did
not want and did not get . So far i have been unable to get a refund for the amount i am owed .Very disapointed with them . Will never deal with them
again.
Vollks = highly recommend. Wassim is 100% behind all his products.
Micks = no problems with these guys.
Rod Penrose = highly recommend . another top guy to deal with.
Classic vw = George is a good guy as well .
Just Kampers =

Don't forget us new guys ( http://www.dasrestoparts.com.au ) - whilst we are
still working on building up our stock levels (takes a hell of a lot of capital investment to stock everything), we do our best to get parts promptly
to anyone who orders with us.
plug over
Cheers
Al

Yep we re-opened on the 3rd and still completed on line orders in the week preceeding.
Unfortunately we do not have the buying power as some of the big boys, and hence cannot compete on price for every product. We do our best to be
competitive though but professional facilties, customer service (adequate staffing) and quality products all contribute to the pricing.
One snippet of our showroom:

We always welcome feedback, so if people do have products they are chasing or have any other constructive criticism, don't hesitate to contact us:

Sorry for continuing the plug but seeing as we now sponsor AVD (waiting on our banner ad to be uploaded) thought it was okay

Just wondering, do all you good people have a holiday? I presume most, if not all, of you would say yes.
Do you think it reasonable for the people in a company like Micks to have a holiday as well ? i would think so.
Have any of you heard of a concept called planning?
Micks are open 5&1/2 days a week for around 49 weeks a year so that works out at 270 days /year or 75% of the time available ,how bloody much do
you want?
Give em a break, there is a small staff to keep prices down ,increase staff and increase prices ,not that hard to work out

I waited almost 2 months for stuff from classic, I was told at least a dozen times that "it'll get shipped tomorrow" but it never did! That's the
last time I buy from them!!
CIP1 all the way!! The parts get to me in 3-4 days from California and the stuff is cheap, plus they always reply to my emails promptly. It's no
wonder no body buys anything from Australia anymore, Most Aussie businesses don't give a rats about customer service
That's my 2c

Placed an order with Classic in the first week of December, still haven't received it. Have experienced the 'parcel is shipping today' and also had
no repy to at least 5 emails. I don't begrudge anyone having the opportunity to spend time with friends and family, particularly over Christmas/New
Year, just let me know when I can really expect to see it arrive and I'll plan around it.
Funnily enough the charge appeared on my credit card about 3 weeks ago. Meanwhile the car sits on jack stands.
Just Kampers for me ![]()
Ordered parts for an early bug when their site was clearly saying the wrong thing. So I made sure I pointed out my correct model to them and of 9
items I ordered 6 were incorrect. They paid for the courier back (thank you) and then sent me some more stuff for the wrong model. Other issues I
wont discuss here but I wont be going back. I will stick with George or Boris. Its a pity cause they came highly recommended by one of the other
suppliers who sponsor this forum. Made sure the blokes in my club were made aware of the issues though so I wonder how much it is going to cost them
in the long run. I know how much they cost me. $54!
And no offer
of compensation for freight, time, etc etc. Bugger em.
regards
Old Hutcho

DAS resto parts gets my double thumbs up
, order some BRM's and arrived the next day. not only that but they
answered their phone, and were happy to answer my questions. There service is exactly what we need up here in Qld and they will be my first point of
call for all my VW needs. Well done DAS !!
i can add to this post, im 15 years old and live near perth, i feel this is why have blatenly been treated like shit by most over east suppliers,
honest. there is to many times to name that people have never gotten back to me, not answered my emails, sent me the wrong parts, led me on.
(most) i know there are good places, they will know who they are
I ordered some parts with a company about 100km away from me. I rang them late Tues afternoon. They said order would not leave until tomorrow, being
Wed. This is understandable. The parts arrived Today at 11.00 am
It is not hard to organise couriers if you have parts in stock. Especially if you have a set courier service company.
Never did understand the mon-fri thing for vw parts.
Most of us don't fix our vws during the week, but during our spare time. Would it be fair to say that is when the shops would do most of there
bussiness?
being open from fri-mon would make more sense really, or possibly this day in age an internet based business would offer better prices due to lower
overheads.
But really I think the real bottom line is.. . . . . . . . .., it's Australia boys and girls! we don't have the population to make a vw shop a
hugely viable endevour (sorry to anyone who has a parts house, I just mean as compared to the big boys in the states) Our consumpsion is not large
enough, thus our buying power isn't big enough, (cue aussie prices and lack of range for parts) Thus our parts houses can't afford or stock mass
amounts of parts. And then there is our labour rates and cost of real estate which makes it very dear for anyone to run a shop efficiently. We do have
to cut these guys a little slack, no doubt they are working hard. Of couse the good guys are working UNBELIEVIBLE hard to get your business.
Bottom line. If you want parts, think a week ahead and order overseas, (they will do alots for you because of the strength of the aussie dollar right
now).
Sorry guys, I love australia but I love my bank account
nils, I understand the bank account bit, I mean I really understand big time, but you make a very valid point about volume sales and then say to order overseas, it's a catch 22, more business sent os means less volume for the business trying to survive here, I'm Ausie and do everything in my power to protect Ausie business, even if I have to pay a bit more and / or wait a little longer, but I will always give preference to those that give the best.

caution on germansupply.com. doesnt respond to emails after payment.
