Are 58 and 56 beetle speedo cable tubes different???

What year models had them,i got one from ebay but it doesnt fit my oval it looks short ???

yes they are different.
oval = long
58-60 = short

right hand drive speedo cable tubes.

oval (ex '56) tube on the left (bottom), '58 tube in the middle and '60 on the right (top).

note the different lengths and the different bracket size/angle between the oval and big window tubes. plus the lack of weld nuts on the '60 model and the squared off ends on the wheel end bracket.
