Ive been curious about some things about Beetles/volkswagens. Ill list the Questions below:
1. How hard is it to lower a volkswagen beetle? can i please have a video or demonstrations on how to do it?
2. I was thinking of painting my volkswagen a Chameleon colour. I want it to look like this paintwork:

My question is, how hard will it be to paint it that colour?
The lowering is easy, just need the tools, workshop and experience. Should only cost about a $1000, depending on which model you have and how low. Go
too low, and you need narrowed bean, different tyres etc, and may only cost about $3000 all up to get someone to do it.
The paintwork.
It's easy, just get the body perfect, ready to paint, get a few years experience painting, and put it on.
I know guys that can do it, and they would only charge between $10,000 and $15,000
Basically it is all real easy, just takes time and money.
Very difficult to paint that colour...
and not insurable... same as pearl paint...
lowering is fairly easy with drop spindles on the front
[if You know what You are doing]
and adjust the torsion bars at the rear...
jack, jack stands and tools are needed

It is insurable!
I have it on my insurance. It just has a notation that colour match cannot be guaranteed. So it is insured to be repaired and painted, just not
guaranteed to be matched perfectly. Do you want me to scan and post the insurance policy to prove it?
How come its difficult to paint that colour? is that because that type of paint shows dints and body imperfections easily?
quick lowering - flat tyres
It is not difficult to paint, it just cannot be matched one panel next to the other.
If you paint just a door, the orange/purple/green will be a different stage to the panels beside it.
All paint shows imperfections if you know what to look for.
how low do you want to go? it's like speed, the more you want the more it costs.....
there was a beetle painted like this in Redcliffe a few years ago.. It's been a while since I last saw it but I know who painted it if you are
interested. I'll drive past their shop tomorrow and get a number for you. I think it was the owners daughters car....
If you could grab me the number, that would be fabulous.
But i was
planning to have it as low as these cars:

will do.
Good luck with that!!!!!!!
You will need airbags$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
mmmm airbags
as was said before the lower you go the more it costs and the more mods needed
a type 3 on the otherhand is easy you do it in your driveway

I drove past the shop the other day and I think it is Dolphin Automatics 38832225, obviously not a paint shop but I am pretty sure the owner built
the beetle for his daughter a few years ago.
(PS: I like the yellow/white as well....)
Thanks a million dude
It is a house of kolor colour. Do a google search and you will find the authorized dealer nearest you. I will tell You it isn't a cheap colour to
buy. I know a friend of mine painted a carbon fibre mountain bike frame in that colour and it cost him $1500 for the colour and to get the frame
painted. It is not a colour to try and paint your self unless you are an experienced spray painter in pearls and chameleon colours. And if you get a
scratch and it has to be touched up you have to
Almost repaint the whole car.
Cool video. And they are static drops. Mind you as cool as they are. On our roads you will hit everywhere you go.
I painted my old 64 bug in Rover Amarinth. It went on just like any 2pac paint. Like everyone says it needs good prep work on the panel. I also made
an insurance claim through Shannon's as someone crashed into it when it was parked. They matched the paint perfectly.

Cheers
