Seems to have survived better than the building
Anyone think they could restore it???
OK I kinda understand the resentment to the U.N. and U.S. interests... but can't they move some stuff before they take the truck bomb there!
LOL
You bet me by about 10 minutes posting that one. Saw it in the local daily rag.

Cheap Beetle for sale????
Rob.....
Great minds think alike!
the hoodjax seem to be fitted incorrectly
Looks like a pre 67 easy restoration more than likely its has NO rust.
Poor little beetle - killed in the car bomb blast that ripped through the UN headquarters in Baghdad.
Condolensces of course to the 15+ people that were killed but surely this is taking terrorism too far? :cussing
I think that there should be an organisation set up to provide human shield protection to prevent VW's in the Middle East from being detonated, it would only require one volunteer per car
3 threads now....
considering the devistation around it she still looks pretty sweet :bounce
Try expalining to the misses why after ya been told not to take the veedub it appears in all the news clippings !!
actually, it's the beetle that did all that damage, after being launched from a really really big slingshot.
That is the 6th one i have seen blown to pieces in Iraq on the news.
any more and i may have to declair war... or :cry
empi
Coulda been worse, coulda been a Kombi.
There was actually a bomb in that Beetle..
I was actually wired into the motor and electronics of the vehicle precisely, however in traditional VW fashion, the bomb failed to work as well as
planned.
Read the paper later today, it was a pretty bad blast, amazing that it stood up so well
It is the pic in all the papers by the looks
