I am heading back to the US for a quick 10 day trip on June the 1st and would like to invite anyone that would like to go to join me on this visit . I will fly into LA to spend the weekend @ Pomona swapmeet , stay around the southern California area for the next 3 days before the vw classic events starts over the next 4 days . Airfares are around the $ 1150-$ 1200 mark and I will be making the booking with the airline on the last day of March . I will be away and uncontactable for the next week so you have a week and a half to let me if you are going to commit yourselfs to this trip , ROD , 02-42729920 .

Make sure you go to Nick's Burgers 2 nights before the Classic when you are out there. Get there early like at 2:30pm. People show up early and two years ago when I was there I had to park my bug across the street and barely found a spot there. The Classic weekend is awesome out there. Damn I miss living in Orange County, CA.

just got back from Rods whirlwind tour of down town ca vw show/shops , the pace was a bit fast for us old blokes over 45 so we got off the tour about day 2 it was our first time in the USA and we wanted to check out some of the touristy stuff Hollywood, the beaches etc.
Had a top time got to meet lots of cool vw folks went to a street BBQ @Rich Kimball place , checked out some nice vw homes like and shops .nicks burgers, bergs, rancho , and got shit loads of pictures a lot like Al's

Well , after a good night's sleep I am ready to get back into it . I have to thank all of the other guy's that joined me on this trip as we all didn't stop laughing until we landed back in Sydney . It was a full on 13 days and with numerous vw swapmeets , events and parts shopping , we were all overloaded @ the airport .
