Holy shit! just pole volted my car.

Check out what just happen 15 min ago on my way to to work.

driving back I saw what I though was a piece of cardboard, turn out to be a tan coloured angle steel with rebar welded to it.

I didn't have to to even think about it, clipped it, got caught between the road and my chassis and threw the right front corner slightly into the air and continued to catch all the way down the chassis.

I though something grenaded under the car, is was like a grenade, all the driver near by shit them selves from the noise it made.

lucky this just my work car and I don't give a crap. still better hitting this than those ladders I see on the highways in Melbourne, only in Melbourne eh.

look how close to the fuel lines it came. my door sill bottoms have seen better days.

lesson to be learned, what ever you see on the road swerve for your life except for anything thats alive

ouch!

yeah could of been worse,

good thing my car is light and front half of the chasis has a lot of 3mm~ thick box reinforcements

I think I need to get a tank for melbourne. ironically I never get anything like this in the country, not even stone chips which most people believe you get in the country but in reality you don't  you get them driving in cities duh!

Just buy a Patrol or a Prado, works for all these inner city soccer mums that think round abouts are for driving over not around.

there's a round about that's just a painted circle near my place haha ... most poeple still drive around it too :)

waveman1500 - April 5th, 2012 at 07:34 PM

A mate of mine used to drive straight over the top of roundabouts in an '80s Daihatsu Charade! It's more the state of mind than the car!

that would be a good idea, my car hates any form of bump, pot hole or expansion joint.

its a road car not off road tractor. I think my shockers are crap, too stiff :fakesniff:
