well i neednhelp my 76 kombi is sick and i don't know why or how ,i went to do a jump start from a full battry but i hooked the leads up back to
front i know been doingit for forty years,what can i say getting old maybe
the problem was after i put the fire out it was mainly old electric tape and the alternator ever seen one burn from the inside out spectacular,all was
well i replaced the alternator and regulator.now the genny light goes of when started but is on when the ignition is off
anyone any ideas

Funny to say, the same thing happened to me recently, but without changing the polarity...the bus was stored for two years and when I wanted to start it the alternator just burned...
getting very interesting alians mite be here now ok back under the bed again spooky
