Hey , Can anyone tell me if they know of VW meet ups in Oxenford?

Maybe we should organise a regular thing?

I organise monthly meet ups for the Mini Truckers around the GC/Bris area.
If we were to start up a regular thing they'd grow pretty quickly.

Yeah I recon that would be a great idea just meet at a central place so it's convenient for everyone.
Do you know anyone else in our area that would be interested?

There are plenty of Dubbers in the GC/Bris area. If we make it a spot fairly central to both it should be good

With the Minitruck meets, we have 1 the second wednesday of the month at Parklands, then the 3rd wednesday at Cannon Hill Bunnings. This makes it easy for most people.
We meet up and basically cruise out to the spot, and talk crap, catch up with everyone.

I think maybe the Logan area would be good for an inbetween spot. Not sure where exactly, but if anyone has ideas, lets throw some around.

While you guys are doing that i think us blokes up north should get off our butts and do the same. Should just pick a car park somewhere that is close to food/people...and just park up and talk vw, skateboard whatever!!

I think it would be good to have both sides meet like once a month somewhere too.
What's everyone's opinion on that idea?

would love to get things happening like the english scene, one of the reasons i got into vdubs, but to no avail so far.
so i just keep increasing how many i have and tinker on them by myself.

I know what you mean I'm thinking about buying another bug.

Garden city Mt Gravatt for north/south siders...??

in the outter most car park outdoors, outside the cinema, if you do it after hours during the week, say wednesday eves... its never busy and the restaurants/tav's would be open for social coffees or drinks?

If South siders only or gold coast and its just an occasional social call, any weeknight at BP stapylton will provide huge car park space, with option for fueling/tune up (being a servo) and drinks/dinner. just thinking 'space wise'. Then every other occasion maybe do your drive in movie sessions when it warms up down the road from stapylton.

BP Stapylton is never a good idea. Always cops and hoons in there at night.

Garden City could be a good one.

The meets we have at Cannon Hil are at the bunnings carpark there. There's also a large carpark out front of the Hungry Jacks there which adjourns the shopping centre.

That would be good for north and south sides I'm also thinking for a local one we could meet somewhere in southport or harbor town

What nights is everyone available?

I was thinking for the northsiders and sunnycoast we could meet on a Saturday or Sunday at the Ettamogah pub big carpark, food, kids can skateboard around etc...Would love to see vw's at least getting back there once a year.

That's not a bad place

I know it won't be same as Dubs by the pub but it will still be a good place to chill. It is easy access for everyone and with it not being a club event no need for fussing and organizing....just park the cars up in a few rows and just have a show n shine amongst ourselfves and talk. i've always thought you can have a non sanctioned show with just people with the same interest.

Thats if we're gonna do a meet at Harbour town or something
