Those that know will know what I am talking about.

I am partial to comments and opinions from people who have use both systems. I am currently using Fedora 14, and am leaning to going to using Debian.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS:tu:
but for me I needed compizconfig to make unity bearable.
now unity is different but it grows on you, GNOME3 isn't any better either.
I use unity with AWN dock to mimick Mac UI lol
used my mate's fedora 14 with xfce and didn't like it... maybe it was the xfce that threw me off

I've been using Linux since 2004. Installed Ubuntu a few times to see how it was progressing. Although it does the job there is something about it and I just couldn't get comfortable using it. Debian just seems to out of date although it's a very stable OS. Currently have Fedora 16 on the laptop which works nice. My all time favorite which I use 90% of the time on the desktop is Arch which I've used for over 5 years now.. I find that it has been very stable for me with very few problems and when they have appeared, are easy fixed. And it's not that hard to install and setup if you take your time.

I found ubuntu pretty easy to work with... not very experienced with it but i did find it easy to install and muck around with. had all the packages i needed to fiddle with stright out of the box
