just want to give anyione who is thinking of buying this car a warning..
it is NOT engineered has some quite big rust holes that are hidden from view.
A mate brought it about 2 years ago and payed good money for it, when he has a couple of dramas with it we found out it had not beed approved by an
engineer and i found some rust plus the paint work is not good at all and the roof has rips, leaks etc etc etc..
Any hows the mate gave up fighting with the person he brought it from and off loaded it for a $1000 to the current owner. i see this car daily on the
way to work and i can 100% say no work has been done to this car since he brought it, it clams in was done up recently well he has had it for close to
two year and when the mate got it he was told it was done up 3 years prior to that!!!!
some one mite be keen to do the work and i have no doubt it could be done but for the money he is asking its a blantent rip off..
so please if u have seen this and were thinking of buying it be very very very caerfull..

steff
i think i still have picture of the rust holes i found and from when the mate brought it...
You haven't got much to worry about, that thing won't be going anywhere till its had $14,000 or more dropped off the price.
Anyone stupid enough to pay more than a few grand for that deserves to get stung.
Bahahaha, that price for a chop top beetle! One of a kind my arse, it's a wizard roadster kit, there are heaps getting around Perth that I know
of.
Knob!
Joel you have got it wrong
i wouldnt give $499 for the car
He would have to pay me to take it off him. It's not half obvious that it's a chop job, just like Joel said you deserve to get stung at that price.
BOUGHT, not 'Brought it'
Yes the wizards are popular in the UK..
Its very difficult to make a one off top that actually seals out the weather...
I'd hate to be in it in a down pour,, lol
where does the engine get its air from once a number plate covers the hole in the engine lid????
LEE
What a peice of crap.ugly ugly ugly...

My convertible never leaked so not sure where your facts are from Lee? and as mentioned before there are plenty ot wizard kits getting around Perth, a
place which can get either stinking hot or pouring with rain and there is never a problem with them.
The thing here is that this dreamer is flogging off a crapped out hacked beetle, not an authentic cabriolet with a "special" kit body on it.

It's no wonder that good beetles are getting scarce as a lot were butchered to make these type of shit boxes.

Haha, this type of kit is the first vee dub i ever drove in (learnt to drive actually!) back when i was 14 in a paddock. ![]()
rust must be the compulsory accessory that comes with it, as this maroon one bought from the coast had the same issues.
Nothing like hooking it up in the grass, going sideways with a tree coming ever so close to the side whilst the screaming engine and wind is racing
past haha.
What i always disliked was the lack of 'refined' modifications to the body, like the B pillar posts and windscreen. I rekon those two sorted would
make it look far more substantial. Yet doesn't change the fact that the car has been rapped.
After this experience as a 14 yr old, i went straight onto the ol' dial up google, found out about the existance of beach buggies and wanted a sharp
built or max fx forever!
I reckon if the guy sells it he should put the funds towards a dictionary,......sickniss, convertion
