Do o'brien do L bug screens? or other ppl in brissy? and how much, any idea? thanks bix

This probably is not much help, but I got a new laminated screen for my 77 Kombi (Moran) it has a blue strip at the top, for $150

Any windscreen place should be able to do it.

The going rate is between $165 and $185.

That is supplied and fitted. :cool:

Make sure you get an Aussie made one, the cheaper Chinese/Indonesian Screens de-laminate (the two glass panels split apart) after a while.

Years ago when i lost a L bug screen on a trip away, Obriens had one in stock, supplied and fitted for a bit over $200...
Didnt have time to argue price since they were the only ones around that had one in stock...

Make sure you fit a NEW windscreen rubber to the New glass otherwise you make have unwanted water leaks...

To replace the rubber after its already fitted may crack your new windscreen so buy a rubber as well...

Didnt yr MUM tell you that a long time ago,,,, buy a rubber.

Hi

And under no curcumstances let them use windscreen sealant. It blocks the drain holes and causes rust.
