silver - June 7th, 2012 at 07:29 PM

h - June 7th, 2012 at 07:47 PM

erm what was the poll?
enlighten us
pretty fooked if it was canned cause of some minute detail of non observance
waiting watching :dork:

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 07:49 PM

It was whether the Nationals should be National... take it to Brissy one year supersprint a qld track ect

farkengruven - June 7th, 2012 at 07:50 PM

did it have a postcode?

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 07:53 PM

no but it obviously ruffle a feather or two

matberry - June 7th, 2012 at 07:59 PM

mmmm looks like censorship is alive and well on avd

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 08:01 PM

i thought i was an idea to be discussed, it would have given lots of enthusiasts who can't make the big trip to sydney a chance to participate

Stanley - June 7th, 2012 at 08:07 PM

Start it again

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 08:13 PM

if a club VW senior is opposed to the idea of Making the Nationals truly national and if they are also a Moderator on AVD then poof ! its gone, so another thread will also disappear as will this thread most likely
anyway discussion is a effective as a poll...

If the NATIONALS came to your state would you go would you appreciate the effort and support it

matberry - June 7th, 2012 at 08:26 PM

I would go, but I don't think it would happen. I would have voted no on making it national, I believe organising an event of this nature would be enough work in your home town, let alone another state. Also as Mr Club Vee Dub said in your missing thread, The Bug-in has that format of traveling around the country and has had dwindling attendance.

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 08:33 PM

there are lots of people making burgers in the country, one is successful at it.. most things are just marketing organising and management ..... I see that is NOT an option in this case

silver - June 7th, 2012 at 08:43 PM

Will this still be here tomorrow??????????????

Bizarre - June 7th, 2012 at 08:47 PM

but who would make it happen??
Club Vee Dub all fly to Qld ???
a $75 entrance fee??

Maybe if there was a National Club vee dub??

whathaveidone - June 7th, 2012 at 10:13 PM

MR Silver. If your so keen to have a " true national event" Why dont you organise one. Im sure with your huge amount of brain power and experience it would be a walk in the park for you!!!!Im keen to see what you come up with?? Should i prep a track car or a drag car???? And what will be your catargries for the show??? Just curious. Im really looking forward to going to your show.:lol::lol:

but then again this could be deleted away

annosL - June 7th, 2012 at 10:59 PM

Would never be truly national, east coast maybe but W.A. is just toooo far away, maybe "Tri-state"?

MISS VDUB - June 7th, 2012 at 11:10 PM

I wish I knew what everyone was on about? Cant even remember seeing a thread, when was it started?

Guys, don't start bagging mods, I for one try and do the right thing, it's not a paid job. I do it around the 12 hour days I do. Want censorship, try some of the other forums that are more cults than forums. Too many people are quick to hop on the bandwagon of something they don't know about.

fish26 - June 7th, 2012 at 11:17 PM

I think some moderators are missing the point here................please remember this is a public forum and members join to offer communication and express their opinion,

WHY WAS THE THREAD DELETED?

MISS VDUB - June 7th, 2012 at 11:27 PM

Maybe who ever did "delete" it can explain why and should of at least sent a PM to the author with an explanation.

And it would be appreciated if you didn't say "some" moderators as it only takes one to delete something. Hopefully the author will receive a PM with an explanation, so let's not keep this rolling please.

t1 time - June 7th, 2012 at 11:34 PM

Most other car makes have their National events in alternating states or country towns it's good for the locals and give everyone else a road trip, something to plan for , but I know Club Vee Dub will fight for their cash cow and will not give it up . The word "National" is a over used word as many car shows are called a National it just means isn't open to anyone in the country .

AUSSIE_MICK - June 8th, 2012 at 06:41 AM

I saw it and voted against. Keep it in Sydney

blutopless2 - June 8th, 2012 at 06:52 AM

It wouldn't matter to me what state it was in.... There is the Bug In that moves each year... and each state pretty much has a Day of the Volkswagen anyway don't they?

And it's the only show that Sydney has.
