Can you interpret Paul? :?:

TorxKiwi - June 9th, 2012 at 05:00 PM

I'm not sure which is more 'cringeworthy', the content or the presentation. ;)

HappyDaze - June 9th, 2012 at 05:02 PM

OK, so I'm a Grumpy Old Man, but I give up after a few words if anything is too hard to fathom. Can't see why I should work hard trying to figure out that stuff.

Klaus - June 9th, 2012 at 07:26 PM

I think hes stating that a shop had one of there resto jobs for sale but had paint on the door rubbers , doors closed like crap and the paint had runs in it , depending how much they wanted for it could reflect condition :)

matberry - June 9th, 2012 at 07:39 PM

Hello ladies and gents,

I travelled to a local vw establishment to have a gander at a lowlight bus and was rather distressed and dismayed at the quality of the workmanship.

Examples such as door panels not being aligned accordingly to factory specifications, and door seals which were tarnished by paint overspray.

It is quite upsetting that these vehicles are being restored in such a manner just as a means to profiteer off the vehicle and not give the vehicle the respect it deserves.

Ummmm, lay off the vodka Paul. Than again, the Vodka could be why you could understand this thread ;)

Wannavee - June 11th, 2012 at 02:02 AM

By the way you spell and your immaculate grammar, I think the last thing you and other road users need is a VW.
Maybe a trip back to school is in order

vwo60 - June 11th, 2012 at 06:31 AM

Haha, Classic!! Just needed "Tally ho chaps" and it would have been complete :)

Mr Muppet - June 11th, 2012 at 04:50 PM

I'm sure that "days splity" will think twice about posting on this forum again.

HappyDaze - June 11th, 2012 at 05:10 PM

How:?:

Mr Muppet - June 11th, 2012 at 07:22 PM

Why? you ask.

Maybe being 'new' to the forum and, well, just read 'some' comments above. It may discourage any further contribution.

I would say there would be a lot of members of AVD that would be hesitant to post anything for fear of sounding silly:crazy:

pickstock - June 11th, 2012 at 08:07 PM

AHHH but perhaps it doesnt show the OP as to himself but rather the state of other members on this forum?

MISS VDUB - June 11th, 2012 at 08:08 PM

Hopefully Days Splity has learnt from another forum when people were trying to give him the advice he asked about and just received attitude back.

Definitely pays to read what you write before you post. Speaking a certain way is one thing, but writing that way also makes people tune out. Really couldn't understand what was written so makes it hard to help.

Interrupted =

Hey! So i went and had a look at a Low Light Kombi today. It upsets me that the quality of the restoration was not up to my standard. The doors were hard to open and the finish of the paint was marred by some bad runs and sags. The rubbers were also badly masked up. It is upsetting to see there are fly by night/shady restorers doing up classic kombi's for a quick buck. The vehicle was at the restorers shop and was supposed to be a sample of the quality of his work. Very sad.

Hope this helps. ;)
