I'm with you wolfgang54. Although I do like some of today's younger music, the above link from ldog is just SHIT.

Remember, we are all entitled to our opinions. Lets just hope some level headed family members (kids of today) bring through some 80's style and not the crap that is turning youth of today into ratbags.

I can just imagine the future PM (that's Prime Minister, not private message for you young ones) with tattoos, a ring through his/her nose, a stupid fucken large hole in their ear lobe running this country. Maybe we would better off letting the Muslims take over (only joking on that last comment).

I think you get my views and that's exactly what they are, my views.

So ldog, play and enjoy your music to yourself ;)

Kev

Stenchy for pm I say.

MISS VDUB - July 15th, 2012 at 11:47 AM

What a F**Ked up thing to say Kev, and pretty sure your narrow minded comments just insulted 90% of this forum. If that's what your views are, i would much prefer a PM with a "shock horror" piercing or tattoo! It's narrow minded opinions that are stopping this country moving with the times. Wow, todays music turning the youth of today into ratbags? "Back in the day" many thought that Elvis Presley was the devil in disguise with his hip girations, the Beetles were a bad influence and the Rolling Stones were pure evil with their "Rock n Roll".

I disagree that Dubstep is Gen Y rubbish, it's just rubbish. As a Gen Y'er i think it's utter crap and would get a better sound out of grinding the gears of my gear box.

Thank god of speed I have tubestop plugin thats stops youtube auto playing. Soon as I saw the title and knew it had some crapy music in it, played 1 sec then just closed the tab.

I feel embarrassed watching videos with music in it as 99% of it is this crap. Even radio I feel embarrassed being near when mainstream music is on.

lol I just leave mute on my PC when browsing the net in case scary mainstream stuff just starts playing out of nowhere.

SebastienPeek - July 15th, 2012 at 01:55 PM

Dubstep is what Zelda has playing.
Kavinsky too.

There is nothing wrong with dubstep, it's just a new genre.
Then we have shit like drumstep, drum and bass, liquid drum and bass, that's what it is all about now.

80's music was cool, for the 80's.
90's music was cool, for the 90's.
00's music was cool, for the 00's.
10's music was cool, for the 10's.

Each to their own, but Zelda loves a good dubstep tune.
But no Skrillex shit, I'm keen for stuff that no one has heard of until they park next to Zelda and there car shakes with the drop.

:)

cool !

also gen Y don't seem to understand a little sarcasm even when it is spelled out for them.

i am getting old

MISS VDUB - July 15th, 2012 at 03:53 PM

"Old" people must not realise that sarcasm falls flat on it's face when not in the spoken word. I guess that's why emoticons were invented :dork::lol::crazy::spin::starhit:;):love::D Then again, this internet thing wont take off anyway!

MISS VDUB - July 15th, 2012 at 03:55 PM

I wonder how many had to Google what Dubstep was? There they were thinking it was a side step for your kombi?

AGREED, VOTE 1, STENCHY FOR PM!!!!!

funny lol
Yep the inter web is just a fad

BTW when making comments in context about gen Y with a hint of some black humour, then adding "i am getting old" at the end; indicates a light heartedness and sarcasm to the post...... we did this before emoticons.

Although i might suggest admin add the emoticon of the little guy and fishing rod.

Sent to you from my Commodore Vic20

As I said, we are all entitled to our own opinion and that was mine. Let me also guess, you believe in God too.

Also, if people on here have those large holes in their ears, well I think they are a fucked up part of society and crying out for help or something.

I think your way of thinking is way off, as I know our current PM might not be doing a great job, but I can assure you the majority of Australian would rather her clean cut appearance then the shit bag style of person you are talking about.

My 8 year old has a female teacher at school that has multiple rings in her nose, ears and eyebrow and it is a total failure of the school system to even let her wear those things at school. If she wants to wear them in her own time, fine but what sort of role model is she setting for the children of the school. A very low standard in my opinion and I know the Principle would change things in a second if it were not for political correctness and the way we have stuffed up allowing all these changes.

I think it is a mindset like mine that would improve this country, look how Australia has changed over the last 20-30 years. Crime and violence was never like it is today and I think why the hell would you want to change with the times when it is degrading to yourself and going backwards in time to be like Neanderthals.

I know what you are referring to re Elvis and the like with out older generations, but is changing a dance style really anything like changing the way be look and what that look encourages. Put on a fancy dress costume for a party and I'm sure most most will carry out that part.

Again, these are my thoughts only and it appears as though my earlier thoughts and comment has opened a few other peoples minds also.

On a last note, ask yourself if we should just except change as you are implying. If you agree, I hope you don't mind wearing a Berka as that is were your attitude will guide us.

Kev
