im heading to valla friday in the am, anyone from our part of the world got a convoy happening ? if so would love to tag along!

I will be leaving Pomona at about 6.30am on Friday morning, will probably going through Brisbane at about 8am.

Are you guys heading to meet up with the others at das resto haus in Burleigh Heads for around 8am?
if so we will tag along.

^ 2.5 hour drive just to get from Cooroy to Burleigh Heads that's not factoring in petrol or food stop. We would need to leave around 5am. Stop into Yatala BP before Das Resto Haus and get food and petrol and then meet at Al's workshop.

We could meet at Ettamogah at 5:15am perhaps which would then take us about 1.5 hours to get to Yatala BP then onto Burleigh Heads?

Just be aware that heading south onto gateway will be murder. The road will be full of people going to work and will seriously halt your progression down south. I drive the gateway each day to work and even at 530am its fn terrible. Traffic can bank up even as far north as deception bay exit so be prepared to idle in traffic for at least an hour and then you will still only get to the airport area.

Meet at Ettamogah to leave at 5am? Might hit a little bit of traffic but that's ok as it generally frees up just before the gateway as the traffic then swaps over to the other side of the road and starts heading into the city as we drive away from it. The crew won't leave without us from DRH.

No didn't make that decision. Just not going to valla this year. And i was just letting you know about the evil gateway. Leaving at 5am from ettamogah will still be too late. If your on gateway at 5am then no trouble at all.

Thanks for your assistance, know all about it too as I drive to the airport at the crack of dawn.

Either way we will get there and have an awesome time!

Lets aim for 8am at my workshop (DAS Resto Haus - 6/2 Calabro Way, Burleigh Heads - exit 85 off M1 to burleigh heads, right onto ambassador drv at the lights, up a little hill to a t-intersection then turn left.....follow the road around (bends to the right) then Calabro Way runs off that to the left....easy to find. Or plug it in your GPS and listen to the kind lady/man).

In all reality we normally only get out of there between 8.30-9am however by aiming for 8, it gives a bit of leeway. Looking forward to the cruise down

As a last minute inclusion/decision I will be leaving just after midday Friday.
Pretty excited to finally make a Valla

Meeting John at the Southbound mobil between Caloundra and Caboolture around 4 am and heading down, will probably stop for fuel / coffee etc at Yatala BP then on to meet up with another mate a little further south.

Plan on stopping at Brunswick heads for breakfast and then by that time I imagine the others from Al's won't be far away.

Look out for a ratty dove blue 55 single cab, a ratty " Moyes Bros " light blue panel and further south a ratty 67 11 window complete with bullet holes ..

Anyone is welcome to join but be warned, we will be taking it steady and stopping off a bit for coffee etc
