I believe many of the VW shops do wreck VWs too.

maybe Vintage Vee Dub?

I don't know what happened to Beetle wreckers etc..

and all their parts??

Beetles are being wrecked all the time by individuals..
that doesn't help You. lol

Interestingly I called Beetle Wreckers this week. The only really wreck late model beetles I.e. The ones built on the Golf platform.

They haven't wrecked a type 1 beetle in many a year.

Good ole Telstra/yellow pages still have them listed at as being on Brookvale. They haven't been there for years!

i think you are far more likely to get stuff at a reasonable price from an individual wrecking a car. they don't have to pay wages, insurance, overheads and sometimes are happy to get the stuff out of the way.

there would be dozens of people on this site who are wrecking cars or have wrecked them and still have HEAPS of stuff they will part with.

Yes

I tried to buy stuff from them a couple of years ago...

If You find a non vw wrecker You can usually buy parts off their cars much cheaper because they just think they have a old car that would be hard to sell.. lol

once they get the price of the car... bits are cheap..
and some have probably been picked up for free... lol

Wonder no more Lee!

After 30 years of wrecking volkswagens, I retired from the motor trade.
I kept all the aircooled cars and parts from Beetle Wreckers/Brookvale Spares and stored them in my shed at Maroota, near Sydney.
Most of the parts and cars have now been sold.
All remaining cars and parts are now with me on Palmers Island, NSW.
My old business partner, Geoff Smith, is still wrecking VW's but only later model ones, SGS Parts Plus, 4 Pioneer Ave, Thornleigh.
9980 0000.

So, there you have it.

VW performance in west gosford have a heap of old parts and they wreck a car now and then.

There is also the Beetle Exchange in Canderra, which may be worth the trip if they have a part that you need. It's not that far really, depending on where you are I guess.

Last time I went there they were expensive too, especially considering you have to pull the parts yourself.

A also wonder how they deal with OH&S with randomes coming in with a box of tools to pull random parts form wrecks. Anyway, not my problem.

Seeing as the advertiser is responsible for approving the add then I guess Beetle Wreckers don't proof read the add before giving it the tick.
