My Iphone 4 is in need of replacement, I use it for email, web, personal diary, alarm clock, occasional camera and (surprisingly) making and receiving
phone calls so i don't realy need all the wiz bang dohickies that they seem to all have. I was thinking maybe to get away from the Apple line of
phones, why? got me, just a thing I was thinking
. i had an
experience while in WA when a bloke I was with had an Iphone 3 on the same provider as me and was getting good reception when I got very poor
reception, so good reception is another "must".
Does anybody have any thought / recomendations
I've been getting away from my iPhone a lot lately (funny because I develop for them), and am currently using a HTC One X.
Best thing I've done in a while is branch out and check out new phones. I got a bit bored of iOS anyway.
As for reception, I'm with Optus and it works pretty much everywhere. Albeit sometimes slow (Adelaide black spots are everywhere) with 3G it is great
when it gets 3G.
Screen is big enough for everyone, just don't get a white one if you're going to be using it when working on cars. Mine gets very dirty and has
stained already in a couple of spots.
Samsung Galaxy III or whatever it is seems to be pretty good; My partner has just gone over to one as she got a HEAPS better deal than what was possible with an iPhone 5
maxwell smart's shoe phone
So , would that be a Smart phone, then?
Sorry about that Chief.
Would not recommend the Galaxy S3. You can dial a number on it, or visit a website, or take a photo of a QR code and it completely destroys the
phone.
Have to then send it back to Samsung to get a replacement phone. It's great, fragmentation is a bitch I guess.
what is a QR???? and Fragmentation????
I still have my Nokia 6170, it gets reception everywhere real strong, and the battery lasts a week before needing a charge. I took a photo with it in 2006 and it is still my background picture. Not sure how to take another one.
Iv had a Galaxy S3 for a few months now. I use it alot and cant complain.

If you didn't mind your iPhone it may be better to get a new one. Moving contacts etc can be a real arse if you go to something else like an android
phone. I just went through all the hassle last night moving from android to iPhone. FYI went to iPhone coz work wanted me to use one and they are
paying for it.
I'm still getting used to it but regret to say it is slicker than my old htc desire s.
I have the iphone 4 and am considering the Samsung Galaxy Note - its a big bastard, but it kinda works as a tablet computer too. The iphone screen is
a bit small by current standards I think.
It is hard to beat the iOS stuff and itunes - and that is big praise coming from me because I don't like apple computers. I have used Android market
on a tablet device and found the apps to be really hit and miss.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note and a Samsung Galaxy S3 i'm actually looking to sell the S3 as I like the note to much. The reason i have two devices is
that whilst doing a firmware update on the Note something got corrupted so phone had to be sent for repair...No phone for 2 weeks!! Nooo!! so went and
bought the S3 great phone etc but Note suits my needs better. The S3 3 months old but only been used maybe a month is locked to Telstra $550 if anyone
is interested?
