I often DID race twice a month back then, but not all year round.
I was only 25 years old back in 1994. Not bad numbers for a young fella!

Yeah I guess the letter was pretty dated by the time it was published.
It was probably 1993 when I sent theletter
because that ET I quoted was back in late 1992, still with a carb on the blower,
and by march 1994 I had run 10's with the injection sorted out.
Gene and Dee Visited Valla that year,
and returned the next year with the car and Gary,
when we all had a chance to run against him.
Lots of pictures on my photobucket account.

Yeah mate, I thought the same thing, in those days it was normal for magazines to take 18 months or more to publish contributions. Even the Gary
Downunder article was 2 years or more by memory. I had the VW Trends photographer do a shoot of my baja in '88, didn't come out until '93 or
so.....

Thanks Matt for the photo.
Mark and myself has a small contest going as to who could get their roofline the lowest - both of us got to "belly button" height but as can be
possibly seen by the photo - Mark eventually won!!! (Dave B's stature standing beside the buggy should give you an idea as to how low we eventually
got)
I still say I won as I am shorter!!
