What impressed me more than anything was the headliner - he has one continuous headliner that extends down the pillars to the dashboard with no
visible joins!!
So is every one out there gonna be wanting one now?
It is a very sweet looking ride butthumb
Blue n White 23 window Delux Micro Bus
nice
Thats a purple and white samba if ever I saw one. It was in Volksworld about 7 years ago.
Thats only one of the things that makes Jamie so attractive.......
Hes my flavour of the month at the moment :o
its just one of his "oh look how pucka I am" ploys, like the Vespa, and having all his aussie mate round and knowing all the shop owners and
shit...cheesh he pisses me off ( prob orded the kombi from a "so u wanna be cool" cataloge)
2c:cussing

The inside of his Splitty has been modified to suit is cooking needs, and you boys mightn't think he is so 'pucka' but I think
he's tops.

Jamies split has a turbo'ed motor.
The bus was built by Matt Keane in the U.K., Mat has had his turbo oval in Volks World a couple of months ago, well last year.
There is a car program in the U.K. called Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and my mate from England sent me the episode where Jamie Oliver had to try and
make a salad in the back of his splitty while a racing driver was driving it around a race track.
The split really goes and it was so funny watching Mr Oliver being thrown around the back of his van.
Cheers
Dave
I think Jamie is hot as. and know i know his style of travel... just makes him better.
I can say also that his cooking rocks, i have got the naked chef 2 at home.

The last article that I saw on this bus I was sure it claimed it was 6 cylinder Porsche powered. Could be wrong, also said he paid around Aust$100,000 for it finished.volma1
there are some pics of it here if you guys wanna check out some of the cooking mods its got

What is that in the back RH corner of the roof? Is it a speaker or a ventilation fan? :o
The poms hate him for that bus.. Well, the ones in the VW circles anyway.
Theory behind it is because he bought a finished project cause he had all this money. Good luck to him I say, he woulda worked hard to get where he
is. At the same time, I guess I can see it from their side.
Looked like a nice bus.. :thumb
Well I sorta would imagine that he didn't fully pay for it himself
Was the show last night just about the bus or was he cooking for one of his shows?
Would imagine he can ask for a few things and get them due to his high ratings. So, if he gets an idea in his head re a show's presentation/theme
or new series, and is able to sell idea to the powers that be, then it'd be pretty much given to him I'd reckon
That's my theory, don't know anything about it, just throwing it out there.....
I'm sure he could afford the $100,000 himself though:o
Very cool bus though:kiss
i like his bus.
i think it looks really cool. i think it actually passed me (opposite sides of the road) heading towards heathrow. wouldn't surprise me, caus it
looks very familiar
This bus was built for Jamie oliver by Luke Theocari At Terrys Beetle service Shirley gardens Hanwell London , just up the road from my mums place.
Luke was kind enough to show me the restoration photos.
one pretty sweet ride.

Well, a Guardian report were the words Jamie Oliver, Volkswagen and Skoda all appear
He earns, and brings in for others, big bucks by this report, but no connection to VW as yet
