Hi
Tried to place my first order online today, I had been told no postage charges are payable for orders over US $99 by a person who suggested to use
them . Then prior to checkout was advised that postage would be $70. I had small items and those with the red truck advising freight was free and
spent $130 US.
Thinking that free postage was US states only and not Vic?
Can anyone help?
USA only
Yeah mate usa only. sorry, but i thought that would be a given.
watch out out with cip1 their postage and handling is very dear
Yes.. USA ONLY .. usually excluding Hawaii and alaska too..
CIP1 charge excessively with their freight charges..
as a large seller of parts You would think they would have a good freight deal with some one..
There is a company in the USA that sell new distributors and the postage to anywhere in the world is about $39-00
Try and get that from CIP1 ...
Most will charge more than that for a few gaskets... lol..

cip1 postage becomes really reasonable the more you spend. Generally gotta be a couple hundred at a time to make it worth while.
That is correct Chris
I always buy about 20 or more oil change gasket kits and lots of tappet cover gaskets too...

It is best of you have a friend or relative who lives in the states, get your order sent to them Free Freight then get them to send it to you using
the US Postal service Very reasonable I had a set of golf clubs sent and insured for under $50.
Cheers,
David
Yes,
that is the only way to get around the High Costs CIP1 charges
or the the cheapest method would be to get someone coming over from the USA to bring the parts etc with them.
The strict weight of suitcases per person now can stop this happening. as its much cheaper to post the parts than pay for excess bag weight.
Depends on what You are buying naturally, as there are many small parts that can be stuffed into a persons suitcase and can be bought over for
nothing..

PS: I had a VW friend in the USA where I sent parts to and got them posted over when I had a reasonable package to send. Many of these parts were
bought off ebay or the samba. Sometimes it was cheaper to send in two packets.
But My Friend died after sending all the parts He had.

Try pierside parts, they have a freight calculator so you can see the cost before you commit to the purchase, USPS is usally the cheapest way.
fly delta - 2x 28 kg bags plus hand luggage allowed out of the US.. or just buy a load of gear and the cip charges are reasonable, as already said

So cip1 will ship to me here in vic or not?

just got an email a day or so ago... CIP1 advertising reduced international postage rates and 10-25% off all parts till dec 31st. No need for coupon
codes. Now is the time.

Yep I'd agree on the speed of CIP1 on their postage.Ive stayed up late and ordered during their business hours and recieved some orders in 2.5 days and sometimes I have waited a week for bits from sydney.CIP1 dont have a calculator as such but you can sign up with your details then go to the checkout and get shipping costs before you commit to buy.
Yep..
Just ordered a bunch of stuff from them as there sale is now on.
The saving i made on 1 larger part covered the cost of the total delivery, plus i got another
couple hundred bux worth of stuff aswell.
Delivery and order tracking in the past has been good too.
They also seem to have updated the website au versus us dollar comparison.

Hi all, I have ordered with them a couple of times. No problems.
Has anyone ordered their door cards or seat covers? Just the standard "1 Color Original" version?
Curious to see if these are comparable to TMI (or maybe even are) ? Anyone got these?
Was Down at the motor trimmers today and he had some poor quality door cards and rear door cards, all I can say is terrible
Make sure what ever you buy it's from a reputable brand!
