i just had to post !! them old barns must be getting cleaner lol
why would a 65 box come out of a 67 which is an irs that looks like a ssp and nice fresh silver frost lol

pity they didn't fit the clutch cable bracket on the right way around then if would be worth the $
yep nice fresh paint after a grease wash off
I think he has the figures round the wrong way its a 56 box from a 76 LOL
but still a single side plate box hard to find

I thought 67's were still swingers, not IRS.

Yup, IRS manual transaxles didn't come out till post 70's. Only IRS box available pre 70's was semi auto from 1968-70.

It's a single sideplate IRS box. Late 75 to 76 & end of Australian Beetle production.

late 60s Type3s were IRS too but maybe that one is the super rare IRS prototype complete with Kill rust recondition.
its a Z top 76 only box with an oil filler plug that sure has been undone a lot of times for a bug with only 12,000miles......
