Letting it go unfortunately due to a new project and lack of space
These Spyder replicas were built in the mid '80s by a company called Spyder Recreation in Boronia, Melbourne. About 13 kits were built before the
company went bust. 4 or 5 cars were built by the factory, this is car #3. 4 know to still exists
The beauty about these cars that they are built on full unmodified chassis which allows full registration. Otherwise, you are pushing s*&^ uphill
with the authorities. This car is registered till end of Dec 2013
I bought it in 2010 and fully restored it (see the resto thread here http://melburgluft.com/viewtopic.php?t=7644 ) and spent a lot of money making it a daily driver including:
- modified Porsche 356 pedal cluster to allow better reach
- custom low seats and frames for extra head room
- detachable steering wheel
- custom made wide-opening door hinges
- custom made hardtop
- wide 5 front disk brakes
- 3rd brake lights
- hidden remote controlled cd player
I have the original soft top too
The engine is an 1888cc with single carby
I have the full history including delivery docs, ownership, magazine articles, etc
I would like to get my money back on it so looking for offers above $SOLD. Not desperate to sell, will store it if I have to
