The time has come to part ways with my pride and joy..
I'm selling because it just doesn't get used anymore and it's a shame to see it just sitting in the shed. I'd rather see it being used and
enjoyed!
It's the factory colours of Kings red with Antarctica white roof. These are getting incredibly hard to find. Early bays were only made between 1967/8
and 1971. After that the baywindow kombi received ugly impact bumpers and various other changes that spoiled the classic early bay styling..
This bus took me a long time to find and I'm only the second owner. No expense has been spared in the build of the this bus. The suspension is all
brand new, sourced from Indian Automotive in Sydney, it's all fully adjustable and the ride is great. It's easy to forget that this is a lowered
bus!
The motor is a new 1600 single port and it runs perfectly. It starts on the turn of the key and is 100% reliable. I've driven all the way from Hobart
to Newcastle and it ran perfectly all the way. It also runs an upgraded alternator and electrics. The headlights are the best I've EVER seen! Better
than most new cars.
The body and chassis totally rust free, the undersides are all heavily waxoyled and so will remain in perfect condition for a long time to come.
New window rubbers all round (with proper deluxe trim imported from Germany, Aussie deluxes only came with plain black rubbers).
Opening quarter vents (aus buses only had non-opening quarter windows).
Full set of rear "jail bars".
Deluxe glove box lid.
Rare dash clock and two speed "ambulance" fans.
Opening Westfalia windows, very rare and fully restored with new rubbers and knobs.
Genuine Enkei wheels with new rubber all round. The spare is brand new and mounted on a restored original rim.
Full headliner (again a deluxe only feature).
Factory AM radio and speaker (plus period red-tip aerial). In perfect working condition!
New delux bumper rubbers with restored trims.
New Hella tail lights.
New Haigus mirrors.
Please no low offers, tyre kickers or swaps!!
$19200 ono

No seats in the rear. The front seats are Cobra buckets and are super comfy.

I'll sort some more pics in the next couple of days..

There is no back seat/s. There is a set of "rock and roll" hinges going with the bus though...
Love those 3 tone door card/ interior trims - very rare and very good condition too.
Just need to know what that black thing is hanging down from the headliner next to the tailgate as seen in your second last photo?
Love the colour(s) too.
Great package - shame I already have one similar or I would be a customer for sure.
The "black thing" is a light installed by the previous owner.
Is that your bus in your avatar? Very nice!
Just beautiful. Very cool.
