sorry-i'm not as encyclopedia in knowledge of vw types

Ok, what he's getting at is there's no such thing as a 1983 beetle. They only went up to 76... It's probably a 1973 superbug. Might pay to get a pic or 2 up. If you have trouble email them to me and I'll put them up for you.

Not a Superbug it's not, hard top supers stopped world wide end of 75 and cabrios in jan 1980.
Only bugs after that were beam/swingaxle out of Mexico and Brazil.

No legal worries with LPG on an aircooled car as long as its fitted properly, there was Ghia at Valla with LPG fitted

Hi-i can't put pics up on here because i put this car on here to sell for someone who sold me a 74 superbug at a great price. It is a fully legal conversion and if you are interested you could ring Peter on the above number.Warragul Victoria is the location. Its definately an 83.Must be an import.Has new rooflining.LPG tank sits behind the back seat.
once again i have opened pandoras box.I did it on a 4wd site a couple of years ago with tie down hooks.

Might be complianced in 1983 as an imported car.
