Just a thought as it is such a nice car.
(and as it is a for sale thread I am happy to delete this just pm me).
If you are looking to sell it for about 10k, and most small cars are 18k on the road (apart from the micro car which are 13k-ish).
That gives you 8k shortfall.
For 8k, you can do regular servicing and still be left with enough for a new stock engine and gearbox rebuild in a few years if need be.
Plus in 5 years time your new 18k car will be worth about 7k.
And your bug will still be worth 10k (maybe more, who knows).
Plus your bug is hot and a camry just isn't.
You confused me so much then, hahaha!
Im going to the qld police so I won't really have any time to keep working on vw's and stuff. I have a GSXR 1000 which takes most of my spare time.
So I thought of selling the bug to buy a bigger car for the family as well.
Is 10k a fair price or do you think it's worth less/more?
Whoa - memories as my 1st car was a 62 beelte standard in all ways and that back in 1971.
Do yourself a favou and post a pic of the engine bay, under the bonnet and some of the interior - always helps.
Like it and all the best with the sale
I think used to be my old car........I had a 62 beetle, pearl white, it had an 1835 cc in it, same interior as this, same headlights, same
wheels.......it looks very familiar. I sold it to guy that lived in cronulla from memory and I think he was an ambo.
If it is the same car, it's a beauty. Solid, quick, reliable.......
Good luck with the sale.....
Thats awesome! The engine must of been upgraded a bit. How was the wiring when you had it, its a bit of a mess now. Im forking out some $$$ and getting it rewired this week
It was ok when I had it.....the front indicators where a little temperamental but it was pretty solid when I had it....looks great still, good luck with the sale mate.....
Im getting the whole car re wired on Tuesday just for peace of mind, I've had no issues with front blinkers, they are a little dull compared to normal cars, thats about it
