Guys,
I’ve decided I’m going to sell my Oval window Beetle. I’m the second owner and due to a lack of space, it’s now been relegated to the backyard after being garaged its entire 58 year life.

I bought it a few years ago off the original owner. Its got the original factory 36hp engine. Not sure about rebuilds etc, but it goes well for what it is.

Factory original throughout, with the original condition seats and door cards. The headlining is long gone and the carpet looks like it was replaced a long time ago.

Currently out of rego, it expired a couple of months ago. I could add 3 months rego at the buyers expense.

Body and floor pan is very good, no rust that I know of. Body has had one repaint, a long time ago, but its in pretty good shape considering.

Has the heart tail lights, semaphores working, original batwing steering wheel, shifter, pedals, all glass is correct and original. It has dropped spindles on the front and dropped a couple of notches at the rear. I’ve got the original spindles to go back on the car if the new owner wants to go that path. Has four conventional tyres with whitewall flappers.

I have the cars birth certificate from the Fatherland and it shows it was built on the 6th June 1955, transported to England , then exported to Australia CKD.

Everything is great on this old girl and I’m only selling it because I’ve run out of storage room so it’s now being parked outside in the weather.

Would need a battery as the one that’s in it has been sitting for some time uncharged (may just need a charge).

Well, she's now officially gone to a new home.
Ive sold a lot of nice cars over the years but i was really sad to see this old girl actually leaving.
