1972 Lowlight Deluxe Kombi Microbus 2Lt
It is with great regret that I am selling my pride and joy. The only reason I am selling is because life has taken me down a different path. I thought I was going to keep this thing forever but alas it’s time for her to go to a good home. First model to come out with bigger engine bay so you get the lowlight looks with bigger more reliable engine.
Body:
It was totally stripped down 7 years ago and all rust removed, not that there was much there in the first place.
It was painted in 2 pac 2001 VW yellow with white roof. The paint is still very good and still has that mirror finish. Panels are very straight.
New German seals allround.
Sliding windows.
Tinted windows and original 1972 roof rack.
Indian Automotive Adjustable front beam with new ball joints. KYB gas adjust shocks.
17” replica Fuch wheels.
Interior:
The interior still has original rubber mats all in great condition.
Front seats replaced with bucket seats from Honda Prelude. New retractable seat belts.
Steering wheel relaced with brand new one with handmade leather cover.
Vintage Speed shifter and new handbrake handle.
Under dash tray.
Full Kenwood stereo with 6” splits in the front, 6x9 3 ways in back, 12 inch sub under rear seat and 5 channel 1200 watt amp.
The rear has middle seat and back is made into a bed but can very easily be converted to a 8 seater if you chose to go that way.
Alarm
Engine and running gear:
2Lt original motor with original carbs that have been totally rebuilt. Gets serviced every 5000k’s religiously including valves.
Totally rebuilt original 205 distributor. Electronic ignition and new leads.
Pierberg electric fuel pump(not the cheap ones) and all fuel lines replaced including all brass fittings.
New alternator.
New clutch cable.
Vintage Speed full stainless exhaust and extractors.
Front brakes have been rebuilt with new discs. Rear brakes have been fully rebuilt including new handbrake cables and backing plates.
Dual battery system.

Everything that has been replaced on this car is the good quality gear and not the cheap Chinese alternatives. As I said it was built to keep and you will not be disappointed.
12 months rego.
The car has been driven everyday and has never let me down. Heaps of spares to go with it.
Also has drive away canvas tent that clips on the side and zips up when you want to go site seeing.
