WTB - 1975 L Bug
Willie - December 23rd, 2013 at 08:59 AM

I would like a '75 L Bug. I was very disapointed to miss this one recently:

I have the most important aspect for purchasing a hobby vehicle sorted - permission from SWMBO....

I would like one very similar to the above car, with tasteful mods and solid drive train already done. I would also consider good original examples. My favouite colours are the light blue or white.

It must be a '75 L for a few reasons, including the rack and pinion, McPherson struts AND the fact that my first car was a '75 L Bug.....

Location: Canberra

Thanks.

This one is on gumtree at the moment and is pretty tidy.

Although it's been ruined by someone fitting a Kmart sunroof and guard top blinkers have been fitted in totally the wrong spot (way to far back)

Is the Gumtree one a 75 rack and pinion?

Yep, it's just had an early bumper fitted (still got the 75 mounts) and the blinkers drilled in.

Still got the charcoal canister I see

I can help with the correct bumpers if you are interested

Thanks guys. I'm a bit concerned about the sunroof and why the guard mounted indicators were fitted?????
Not as good as the one Bizarre just sold, either......

Best way to devalue a car.... hack in a Kmart sunroof.

I'm guessing it was just someone too lazy to find a 75 bumper for it.

They are definitely the 75 guards as the position the indicators have been fitted is miles off.

Just put down a deposit on one in Tassie. Recently sold on e-bay from the mid nth coast. Will be picking it up on 01 February, putting it on the spirit of Tassie that evening and driving home to Canberra (on an unreg vehicle permit) the following day. Can't wait!
