[WTB - NSW] 80's T3 Camper / Van
TalkieToaster - December 31st, 2013 at 12:27 AM

Hi all, my partner and I are looking for a late T3 van (either already fitted out as a camper, or a good candidate for conversion). We have a budget of up to ~$15K. Diesel / auto would be amazing and would be willing to go a bit higher for. We are in Sydney NSW but willing to travel for the right vehicle.

I had a '71 1600s a while back which I sold in 2011 to buy a boring car *sniff* which I had some great adventures between Sydney and the Gold Coast in. Looking to do some more adventuring (with more space this time!)

I'm ready to buy now but not in a major rush. Hoping to have everything ready for the spectacular this year.

Hi TalkieToaster you should also post on this site as it is a dedicated kombi site and we have a large T3 membership http://forums.kombiclub.com/index.php

Hi Talkie Toaster,

You might be interested in this Syncro Hi-top camper, which is currently advertised on Brisbane Gumtree. I reckon it would easily be one of the best in Australia. The owner is one of Australia's foremost experts on the Syncro driveline, so would assume the vehicle is in top condition.

I would second that - an awesome syncro camper - just beware of undergound car parks and drive through McDonalds, low bridges etc..

Looks like it would drive over anything. With twin diff-locks - it probably would.

Haha that thing looks like a beast!

After lengthy discussion with the management, we have decided to look for a 2wd T3 Camper rather than a syncro. :)
