Here goes....

March 1957 split single cab aka (Mr Krinkle)

The ute was purchased new by a farmer near Elmore Vic. Some time early in it's working life it ended up on its side, at which time the ute was parked up in a shed and the engine and box were removed.

Fast forward to the mid 2000's it was purchased by Mick.
A sympathetic resto was carried out, which included:

-replacing the inner/outer sill on the passenger side
-forward section of the passenger rear wheel arch
-passenger side lower front nose
-passenger side cab floor
-repairs to the drop gate bottoms and hinges
-as well as various other small rust repairs as required
-the cab was pressed back into shape to allow the drivers door to operate properly

The truck is still on 6V and all rear lights are now LED, and it has new repo 6V semaphores.
It has a rebuilt correct "small nut" reduction hub gearbox and has a rebuilt single port 1600 based on a 1300 case.
It has rebuilt brakes, dropped spindles and the rear has been dropped a spline.

It's wearing 4.5" chrome Mangles wheels with 195/65s on the rear and 175/65s on the front.





















I'll add a pic of the rear as it also has the extremely rare correct ute ribbed rear bar.

What really sets the deal off is that the sale also includes another early semaphore era ute cab which is very straight and also in original paint.
Should anyone in the future want to "fix" Krinkle this cab is the perfect candidate to donate all the panels to do the job. As a bonus the cab also has very rare original safari windows :shock: I will get pics of the cab during the week.

As you can see Krinkle is currently in summer mode, the door tops will come with the sale

At this stage Krinkle with the Cab in the back will be at Jambo this weekend with a price of $22,000.
