Now that I just bought another type three I will have to part with this one.
the story goes like this.

One familie owned and imported into australia from germany by previous owner.
(therfore it is left hand drive)
All paperwork available including the german "car letter " that all german cars have.
There it is documented who owned it where and when and what number plates it had etc etc.
This car has always been garaged and always been serviced.
All receipts are available.
It has had a recon engine and recon gearbox.
All brakes have been overhauled. (chip foose)
new lines and cylinders.
Recently had major service including new battery and cv boots.
cv joints are fine.
car is registered and drives really well.
shockies are a bit worn and could be replaced.
The body has a few rust spots in the type three usual areas
both front fenders show bubbles (good rust free examples are included in the sale)
bubbling showing on drivers sill .
rust appearing underneath brake reservoir.
Recently had the sunroof out and repaired with new corners welded in and all new seals installed again.
Also roof was repainted at that time.

This is a factory original golde steel sliding sunroof not a hackjob or aftermarket thought!!!

The left hand drainn pipe from the sunroof is blocked however and needs cleaning/unblocking
the interior is in original condition
the headliner has a couple of tears but the doorcards and upholsery is pretty good.
The engine goes strong and is a 1600 twin carb powerplant.
tyres are good.
now to the price.

I am not quite sure as what to ask for it as it is a very rare car in this neck of the woods ( even in germany it would be rare ) but some people might not like the lhd factor.
I have had no problem with it all all and unless you wanna overtake on a single lane country road you should be ok.
its not a race car anyway.
as a daily driver in the city there are really no issues at all with it beeing lhd


anyway I am offering it here first for 4500$ before it goes on gumtree for 5000$
