Thanks to the QLD system, this vehicle is registered but not roadworthy due to rust.
I was almost going to call it a project but it is complete, just needs rust repairs.
I think it would just need the rust around the treasure chest and a repair to the dodgy repair itself to be ok.
I bought it with the dodgy repair between the cabin panel and the front of the tray so it passed roadworthy then but since the repair itself has
rusted.
There is some rust in the bottom of the gates but essentially this have just created better drainage and the rust has not got any worst since I bought
it in 2008.
There is rust along the central seam of the rear tray and corresponding rust inside of the back wall of the treasure chest.
I have not been game to remove the panels and look inside the area of the fuel tank but looking through the vents it appears ok.
The engine was a new Mex 1600 just before I bought it so it still strong but no top speed like all 1600s in utes.
I have a rusty 1972 camper which I bought because it has an 1800 and will throw in if the buyer wants it.
I thought the 1800 would be a good upgrade once it was fully reconditioned.
Number plates can go with vehicle if QLD buyer wants them, will be removed for interstate.
N.B. I will not sell this Ute unless you have inspected it (or got someone else local) because like all kombis the rust is inside where it is hard to
get good photos (so don't ask for any more photos).
