hey had this one on before but as expressions of interest. its in good condition, re-sprayed recently, headlights have been upgraded to H4s, has excel
front seats, inertia belts, a good 1600 engine with a twin barrel progressive webber. it comes with engineers certificate for seats, seat belts and
the webber. engine runs well. car is unregistered but wont take much to register. it currently has stock rims back on it as it was slightly illegal
with the hot-wires on it. tires poked out of the guards too far. sold with blueslip. the car is located in taree. its a perfect car for someone new to
vws.

i can not believe this as there were like 3 or 4 different guys interested in this one but now i only get an enquiry about the mags that are on it. thanks karman by the way you have email back.
sax, preacherman, ned and paladin? are any of you still interested in this one cause there has got to be some one out there after a smik bug.

It could do with a good lowering.
just ignore that section of undercoat on the right rear guard as it has been painted now and is the same colour as the body. might i mention has a tuck away exhaust that still uses one of the exhaust cutouts. but bump nether the less

As much as it is a tidy car, which part of the car can you really say is modifed. And yeh it does need to be lowered.
Looks great. I have a friend that may be in the market so I'll ask.
On the "lowered" idea, I have the same problem. Mine is '74 and appears to have been dropped a fraction at the rear but the front seems to head
skyward.
Is there a simple solution or is it an expensive "replace the whole front suspension with aftermarket stuff" job?
engine, seats and carby are modified

It doesn't take much to add adjusters to the front suspension...
its just the hassle of pulling everything apart..
including all the greasy torsion bars inside the front suspension and then putting it all back together....
but the front is always too high...
the rear torsion bars do settle with time... and people have been known to raise them back to the correct height...

Barls, I think I sold your dad a semi auto super a few months back ?
was that you mate yeah he did buy one for my brother but hasnt got to it yet, still working on my baby chaos. that suto stick was a bargin and a half
yeah but the motor was really rattly....big ends or something. I bought it without the new exhaust so you could only hear exhaust noise. put on tne new muffler which quietened it down except for the knock.
yeah i think the old man plans a t4 2L for it to give it the grunt it needs

Quick question barls. Where did you get the manifold for the carby made up?? As i have a square based progressive carby (not sure if weber) and i'm tossing up whether to get a plate made up or to go with the new manifold - whatever is cheaper!!!
