There was one in a caryard in Perth about 3 years ago for $3500 ono. It was there for months and then a UK visitor bought it, had holiday, shipped to UK-refurbished and was for sale at £15,000.
They apparently had great reputation in S.A. for strength and reliability.

Crikey, considering a normal kombi isn't exactly a speed demon, can you imagine that thing going up a hill, or into a headwind. I feel sorry for the motor!

Thanks for posting that pic Dave....yep thats what they look like.
The owner has had this car for a while & loves it.
Wants it to go to an VW enthusist so if you know of anyone who could give it a good home.....ring him.
