rhys, you scare me. how many is that now!?!

57kombi - November 12th, 2004 at 07:35 PM

Must be good money in paper rounds.
Hope you dont get stung, had a few mates ripped off buying cars on E-bay,
I would be a bit worried when it states that there is rust inside near the dash.
If its rusting there , where else is it going,
Has it been restored.
As I said I hope you saw the buss before handing your hard earned over.

Good one Rhys

Cheers
Dave

hey guys
well it turns out this guy even though putting it as a reserve auction and our bid meeting the reserve he claimed he wouldnt sell it because he wanted more money for it (i think he shit his pants when the $US went upto 76 cents!!!)
what should we do?
cheers
rhys

penguin - November 15th, 2004 at 08:52 AM

Isn't there something on Ebay where you have to sell if you meet their reserve and haven't withdrawn the item prior to auction closing???
Check with the Ebay regulations ? I am sure that there is something in there about it.
And before anyone says that you shouldn't press the issue, if you offer something for sale (or if you offer to buy) you do so.
The price you state you will accept, is what you accept. No upping it after the fact.
Thats what I believe, and if you don't then fine:),
just let me know who you are and I will try to remember if I buy anything from you.

kombi_kid - November 15th, 2004 at 09:06 AM

yer pengy at the end of the day it is a legal document and we could persue it but really if the guy is gonna be like that we would rather not meet him!!
will follow it up with ebay!
cheers

It would want to be good forr 11k, did you look at it Rhys?

kombi_kid - November 15th, 2004 at 10:41 AM

na but we sent hiom an email before saying that if we bid on it and got it that it was still subject to inspection before getting any money etc
cheers
rhys

57kombi - November 15th, 2004 at 11:39 AM

I think that is the problem,
He might have been hoping to sell it to someone who doesnt really know buses.
I still have doubts about the "rust in dash" bit.

Would need a bloody good check.
Also Here I go again, If it hasnt been restored, and properly, it will need the usual so why waste 10k on it when you could get one for 2k and still have to do the same work.

Also I have never seen one with JUST a rusty dash.

Cheers
Dave

kombi_kid - November 15th, 2004 at 08:35 PM
