Doug Sweetman - December 13th, 2004 at 12:09 PM

Hmmm, maybe should have posted this one one April 1.

I'll be surprised if you have anyone interested at $6,000 - seeing as there have been much better nick ovals for similar dollars around the traps recently.

You are right though, it would be the perfect start for a resto.

type3kid - December 13th, 2004 at 04:44 PM

everyone is entitled to an opinion but personally i think that if you want to say it do it elsewhere and not the post that people are trying to sell their car in... just my thoughts, good luck with the sale, i hope you get $6g for it, and if you do, please let everyone know! cheers

Doug Sweetman - December 13th, 2004 at 04:52 PM

fair enough - if any mods read this post, feel free to delete my comments as they are not relevant to the sale.

Best of luck. .

Alex Holzl - December 13th, 2004 at 04:56 PM

ill be bak mate

Alex Holzl - December 13th, 2004 at 05:38 PM

Anywayz (quote)U also say no rust, c'mon lets get serious, looks like rust in the floor near the left hand side of the left seat. If it is rust free, give more detailed pics, of the battery area, floor pan, doors, etc. Just seems to me a car that a 40 yr old car, unregistered since 85 an with that much surface is gonna have rust.

Well you must have been thinking about another car coz i cant see any rust in the left floor near the seat... but i could be wrong maybe you should come and have alook for yaself before go being a sh!t kicker.

No doubt that guys car is nice but its not really original, original is what some people may want and this car is very original. This car was bought with a deal to have some other cars and my father did 4 trips to lismore from sydney to get them and its not cheap in fuel doin that mileage and the other cars arent gonna bring the return soo we will have to try and do our best with this one. Sorry for tring..

Well you came across VERY negative and you can stick ya opinion up ya ass!! in my posts anyway

TYPE3KID has some good advice for you read it, and Doug cheers for the luck.

although there were some negative points raised, it did seem to help with your positive reaction and surfaced some good pics for further proof as how good the car is.
i think if you can spend alittle more on a unrusted? unrestored and unmolested bug or any car it will be a huge saving in the long run, or if you are lucky to find one cheap with no rust its all the better. good luck with the sale

Bizarre - December 13th, 2004 at 06:34 PM

I will stick my nose in here

This car aint for everyone but if some one want an original car - this is it.

Alex has not pointed out LOTS of things

Those tyres are the originals, i believe. May be wrong but i dont think so.
This car is uncut and unmolested.

Anyway
Motor, interior, all panels is original
Every thing is straight

Alex Holzl - December 13th, 2004 at 06:53 PM

have all 4 original rims and tyres but as you could imagin the tyres arnt reall good

Alex Holzl - December 13th, 2004 at 06:54 PM

and the spare too

Che Castro - December 13th, 2004 at 10:27 PM

if you're going to say something negative about a sale say it somewhere else!

I have seen this car in the flesh and it is dry as a bone. no rust at all! Very original and it would be difficult to find an oval like this, in this condition.

Drop it on an late pan and you have an ultimate rat !

moonlite6t6beetle - December 13th, 2004 at 10:32 PM

hmmmm ok... sorry Castro but the price tag is HUGE i mean look at this one for 5!!!!

http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=32088

Look at the condition difference

BLUE_62 - December 14th, 2004 at 06:13 AM

My 2 cents,

hit it with a coat of paint a lick of tyre black and it would look a million dollars. Its clean (no rust, its original, and its un modified....)

Be mad to throw up the opertunity. Look past the paint guys. Potentially the next best lookin oval on the street..

Unless your scared of a little hard work and spending some cash to get a quality outcome....

And as for those who want to sit on there arse infront of there computer screen, and bag it because if the money being asked or the condition of the paint.... Get a f**ken life..... Why the hell do it on a post that someone is trying to sell there car. People who know what they are looking at will know whats its worth and have a rough idea on how much will have to be spent to have it looking smick.

Im sure if you were 46 year old i reckon you would be needing a little more than a polish. I know iam only new to this forum but i am disappointed with the way people are acting. Keep your opinions to yourself.

Oh, as for the car, who ever buys it will get a good thing, i wish i could afford it myself, best of luck to you.

Freddie Fender - December 14th, 2004 at 06:41 AM

Would love to have the car myself but no spare cash at the minute with Christmas and all.

Alex Holzl - December 14th, 2004 at 07:28 AM
