Herbie - December 19th, 2004 at 05:42 PM

Hey all,
I went to look at this bug the other day that was for sale{$600 or near offer}
I have too many cars to buy it bit it would make a great beetle for a loving home.
Very little rust, { a few Bubbles }
Good sils etc
1500 engine that goes well and doesnt blow smoke or sound rattly, I was originally looking for a motor for my splitty but this is too good to wreck.
Its currently registered in Victoria till the May but he is selling without rego, and he said the battery is out of his boat and so it doesn't go with the car.

The Car is at Labrador on the Gold Coast.
and the Guys name is Peter
07 55 280 886
he was going away for a few days over chrissy but will be back soon after. I said I would post a bit of an ad for him, he just doesnt really need it anymore
My number is 0411 637 286 if you want to ask me about it.
Cheers Anthony

Peter rang me today to say he still had the Bug.

He said he would put it in the trading post next week if no one bought it from here.

I reckon its a bargain but Melanie says "No More Cars"
I guess 6 is enough.

Anyone interested? give peter a ring and have a look, make him an offer perhaps, He just doesnt need it anymore.

Cheers Anthony

Hey everyone,

I just put a deposit down for this bug.

It arrives on my doorstep this weekend.

Body in nice condition (rust wise)..some little bit and pieces need to be done to get it road worthy, so you will hear more from me....in both parts needed, and how do I fix this??

So thanks for the tip off Anthony.

More than welcome,
I am glad to see it go to a good home.

Maybe call it Elton?

Cheers Anthony

You know....

I have been trying to think of a name for the darling....

The owner said it was a girl, but she never gave it a name...however Peter the husband swears it's a bloke

So maybe Elton is rather appropriate really....Short, round lines...male with femine sensitivies, has sexual indentitiy issues......kinda fits really.

But where do I get big glasses for the front??

haha. i think 'elton' is terific,a nd appropriate. its always good to have a name witha bit of thought.

i called my latest project, 'lois'. as in superman, as she 'always needs saving'. gotten to feel like that with some of my rides.

mine was named kikko. after having some very nasty starter motor trouble, stuart recommended a kick in the back right tyre, sure enough after he kicked the tyre it started first go!

kikko - kikkovayabastard!
