Heya All,

I am seeking your Kombi expertise and contacts - my boy and I are hoping to by a Kombi between now and mid March.

We'd need a good new or recon'ed engine, hopefully as little as possible rust in the body (I know this is eveyr Kombi buyers dream but we would like to be able to sell it if maintained!), a pop top, good looking paint job but not neccesarily recent. We don't want a fully-fitted out camper necessarily, but would like to have a fold down bed in there already.

Basically, we just need it to be a good runner for every day and the monthly weekend cruise.

We have about $5-5.5K to spend. Maybe $6K if we get lucky with selling his old car or scratching a scratchie!

Oh and regular kombi's are the go I guess. I love splittie barn-doors, but I don't know if we'd have any luck whatsoever if we limited it to that!

So let me know of anything you hear, and any shows I could go to that I could wander around and chat to people

Wouldn't that be a trip in the potential Kombi??? Take a week off and cruise slow down the coast. What a ball and what a christening!!!
