Just been on http://www.carsales.com.au  and seen that fatso the Kombi is still listed but the price is now $4,000 - lol :-)
If the write up is so good then why the massive reduction in $$

Ive seen it and 4000 is gettig close to what it is worth

i recall a forum member travelling interstate to have a look at it and was quite disapointed with the description given in the add and what reality was....

i have paid to much for a bus before then spent all of my savings fixing it up a week later on new engine box prob etc only to sell it for $200 less than what i originally paid. that was a learning experiencenn[ Edited on 18-9-2005 by t2 ]

in the add it says motor and gearbox damaged,,thats y the drop...make your own mind up....

if the motor and box are damaged then I expect a bit of thrashing has gone on.
Greedy51 used to own it so he should know what the $$ was before this and the other add ons.

it was posted for a lot because it was worth a lot. the kid that owns it now is much like me, a mechanical retard. only he tried to do stupid things like play with the supercharger.
thats why the engines damaged.
other than that the car would be a brilliant project. paint, interior, rust all done well. pity it was sold to a dingus with a toolshed :blush

Some kids have no respect for cars, thats a real shame. I remeber seeing this car a while back and it wasn't too bad. Sound like she had a real hard life since the first sale.

seriously the fatso shell is still a pearler, besides gearbox and engine, the car is brilliant.

If anyone is after a $10,000 kombi that goes fast and looks good, mine is for sale.

i spoke to greedy today and he said the motor was sweet and reiable ,drove to the great ocean road towing and all and was perfect? so im confused

greedy owned it two owners ago, then it was good. since then two teenagers have owned it, played with it, and basically stuffed it.

it is now being rebuilt by a new owner.
