Lets see now,I,ve known Steve for a few years now and my old man went and had a look at the said van just last week and to his knowledge it's not too
bad but the usual thing with panels......windows cut in!.
So,this to the average joe would not be an issue,but to me and others it is a no-no,bad-bad almost upthere with a choptop bug.
Anyway,to the av-joe,this is still a reasonable propersition,so George!go get some pics of this van,pics tell a thousand words,it is such a let down
when you see a post of a splitty for sale and it has no pics.
Do him a favour.
here is another thought just ring him on the number that he has provided

I only made my comment as there are quite a few new people on this site who are after splitties and do not know their value,A few dont even know the
years or differances between models and come to this site for help and to learn.
I do not know the seller or have anything against him personally but to new people this might sound cheap .
I thought that as this is an enthusiasts forum we are here to help each other, how would you feel if you were new to a scene and bought something that
was worth $1000 for $7800.
Please let me know if anyone on here would buy an unrestored split that has had windows cut in it for this price.
Are we just supposed to keep quiet and let new members get stung, I dont think that this was the reason Jim started this site.
Could a moderator please let me know if I am doing anything wrong, if so I will keep quiet .

Dave, maybe if your intention is to educate people on VW splits etc you can do it without sarcasm and practice some internet courtesy, as you have
not displayed this on this post.
Perhaps imagine yourself saying it to someone that you don't know face to face before you type it to see what impression it gives?
I've been on here for awhile and have noticed this kind of cynicism creeping in. Its unattractive and not at all welcoming to new members or those
from overseas.
