So if I buy it and put my 1600 big block twin port with a nice new shiney 009 in it ,
will it be the fastest vw in Australia?????

Yeah it's a laugh...

But not just a laugh.... seriously, I know Rod and know the car. But without the engine it can't be advertised for sale with that description!


All things aside. This is quite a bargain. Throw say 20k at a suitable engine and the VW scene has another Super Sedan racer in the ranks for less than 40k.

Not many people could put a package together like that for 17 and half grand.

OR, alternatively, throw $14k at Seagull, but Kevin Hood's ex STI works EJ20T motor, wind up the boost or slap a big ass turbo on it.

Wouldnt be air cooled, but would certainly be a cool little racer, but next to nothing.

Hope someone picks up this bargain.

I realise your only having a bit of fun but even without the engine the car still has the record so untill some one goes faster its still australias fastest VW! So if you would like to buy it and put you 1600 in it you would be able to impress all your friends in the macdonalds carpark suitably.
