Shopping for a friend here... She is after a beetle in NSW, in good condition. she doesn't have a set feild for her price range as she is after one in good condition, with no body work needed. ope to suggestions and ideas of what people have.

Actually it is likely to mean the colors on the interior are harsh and dark, and she'd rather lighter ones. Also, not alot of speedos/tacometers etc on the dash if u please.

Also, it may mean it isn't color co-oridnated enough. But it usually refers to the interior. But definately the look of the car.

I totally understand.

I'm a chick (even if I did get called dude) so I get it.

Why sit in a car fully of techno stuff, when what u want really is nice clean car, color scheme that's easy on the eye (not 6 plus different colors) that drives well, has the power to get up the hill, and not so much that the cops are pulling u up every day.

I've seen some nice ones here, in the sellers list, so ur sure to find one u like, I remember seeing one that was a nice pale grey, with whie interior....I think it's still for sale. Will try to see if I can find it again.

But maybe another way to go is...to find one that has good mechanics and body, then to get the interior done the way u like it. not hard to do, and if u have open budget and time, can be done.

I did. Got one that was mechanically okay, needed some bit and pieces, and I am now in process of changing interior to what I want.

Pink shag pile parcel trays, nice purple cushions (for baby when he sleeps) co-ordinated door trims (yellow okay u think) and nice seat covers (red should set it off nicely) NOT!! It's white and grey actually. The car will be metallic blue with silevr ghost flames when I finish.

Oh...and no dice, or pom poms either!

Anyway, I hope u find something nice.

ok, i think i should straighten something out REAL quick. i like beetles but i have never owned one and the one i woul;d own i can't afford and can't talk my friend into buying. i am a type 3 man through and through, i have owned 6, and still currently have 5.
