I have a '76 Beetle 1600, torsion front suspension, IRS,just out of rego with a little rust (easy repair) with wide wheels, good tyres, sports steering wheel, short throw shifter, stereo, needs some TLC but basically very straight. I want to swap it for a good condition 1835 or 1916 engine for my Trike. Will post photos soon. If interested please call on above number or email gazzaa80@yahoo.com.au.

Hmmm I have a nice freshly rebuilt 1916 here that I have just spent thousands on but I don't think I'll be swapping it for a rusty, unreg Beetle

yeah, well where I come from 1 (value of unreg, non-orig '76) into 3.5 (approximate value of my freshly-rebuilt engine) don't go. but it was a free bump...:P

Thanks for the opinion vwcool...but it is original...and its not that rusty and if you spent "thousands" on building your 1916 then someone else must have done the work for you or you were seriously ripped off in the parts department...and I did not specify that the motor had to be brand new or perfect...so do me a favour...if you dont want to swap...then dont bother commenting ok?
