Early Bay Bus Wanted!
crewcabconnection - March 2nd, 2005 at 08:15 AM

Due to a fatal decision to move to the UK for 12 months...and now 3 months in have woken up to myself...having sold my 72 Crew Cab - (der)...I now need to get me a new bus in the Sydney area, ideally at Easter.

Guess the chances of getting and original rust free CC are zip.

So looking for a new bay, consider later, can't be bothered with another resto, just want clean, honest and rust free bus. I've got the cash, just need the bus.

Cheers for looking.

I thought most of our ACVWs were in the UK - you should have shipped one back!

I got a rust free early bay kombi, that I might sell. Is in Sydney and is a good bus. Needs some TLC but has no rust issues even in the battery tray as has come from WA

Well, I thought I bought a 75, off Ebay from someone up near Terrigal. After cancelling the first auction, raising the entry price from $1000 to $3000, they added a buy now price of $3500.00, so I did. Emails go back and forth, and all looks good, then nothing....after emailing to see what the story was....turns out they sold it to somone else.

So be warned, eBay itself, does not give a toss. It's an AU$32billion business, which put it just behind Kuwait in world economies, just thought I'd mention it to people looking there for a bargain.

Anyway...

I've now got a bus from Indian, a honest original 72 Deluxe Microbus, dings, dints and in skid mark brown. But it's a 72 Deluxe, and 72 is my fave bay year. Hope to pick it up at Easter, after it get's lowered by Indian and go fer a drive.

Usual work to do, but Indian are will down the road in doing a top job on a major resto on my 60 Panel, which is still a way off, but the quality of the hand formed panels, widgets and stuff are top notch...I figured that buying from someone I trust was a good idea.

Will post some picks of the Poo Bus when I get em.

Thanks for all the replies.......ah shag, it's raining again.

Good to hear you found a bus. In my opinion the 72 is hard to beat ( i might be biased) as it has the best of both worlds and the blokes at Indian are top notch.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your poo bus.
